Bars and Restaurants

The resort of Protaras is centered around a main street, adjacent to the sea front. This main street has an abundance of restaurants and bars catering for all tastes.

> Restaurants

One of the most traditional and authentic Cypriot restaurants in the resort is Romeo Garden Taverna. It is set in beautiful garden surroundings,complete with water features and plant life, close to Fig Tree Bay. Experience Greek cuisine at its finest served by friendly staff. Regular Greek nights are held, complete with live music, dancers and entertainers. Traditional Cypriot dishes on the menu include Halloumi cheese, Dolmades, Lamb Klefiko and Pasticho. Alternatively a Meze can be ordered which consists of many small courses, allowing the diner to experience many dishes in smaller proportions.

Aside from the traditional Greek restaurants, the resort caters for a very wide range of tastes. It is possible to find many international restaurants within the resort including an American Diner, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican restaurants, and even fast food!

> Bars

Protaras Bars are very distinctive and many are themed, both in style and entertainment. There are bars which are themed on popular TV shows such as 'Friends' and 'Only Fools and Horses'. These bars display large TV screens and play episodes of the shows. There are also several karaoke bars, including an Elvis bar. Many of the bars offer live entertainment often in the form of male and female singing inpersonators. Other types of entertainment include parrot shows and hypnotism.

Several chic and trendy cocktail bars line the street, which attract younger people.

For the keen sports followers, there are sports bars which play regular Sky Sports on large TV screens.
